After the hospital was moved to its current location, the building became a nursing home which was purchased by Altercare of Ohio, Inc. in 1988. Altercare, headquartered in North Canton Ohio, owns and operates 16 senior care facilities throughout Ohio and one in Michigan, each focused on meeting the highest standards with a team of highly trained professionals providing attention to every important detail. Altercare of Wadsworth Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Inc. is a 120 bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing center complete with a 22 bed Alzheimer's/dementia facility. We specialize in providing advanced medical rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, long-term nursing care, respite/vacation stays, hospice care, and medical specialty consulting services. Our mission is to restore the health and quality of life of our residents with care and compassion, meet our residents' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, and provide services and programs that support health and quality of life. We are dedicated to providing an environment of care, a comprehensive range of services, and compassionate and capable employees meeting the industry's highest standards.

Our services include skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and comprehensive Alzheimer's and dementia care focused on comfort and safety. We are Medicare-Certified, and our outcomes and measures as certified by the Department of Health have placed us in the top percentile in the state for the past three years.
